Treasure Island Media's Paul Morris announced today that he is initiating a program providing adult production companies with advice concerning federal laws, including 2257 record keeping requirements.
According to a Treasure Island Media press release, "The program aims to assist companies and company owners who are uncertain about changing federal requirements for adult producers. Ultimately, the project would result in an industry-wide network of resources, knowledge, and intra-industry support."
This service will be available to any company that isn’t able to afford guidance regarding the controversial federal regulations, Morris noted.
“The laws are labyrinthine, difficult, changeable, and extremely punitive,” said Morris. “For smaller companies that aren’t able to afford advice regarding compliance, this can make for a dangerous situation. Personally, I don’t want to see a single company go under because of all this.
“At Treasure Island, we are fortunate to have a team of extremely well-informed and experienced professionals, as well as an in-company staff devoted to these concerns. I want to be sure that anyone who needs advice, but can’t afford it, will get the help they need. If you know of anyone who needs help, send them to us," Morris said.
