HBO’s long-running reality-TV series about the world famous Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel, Cathouse, is returning with a special all-new episode titled “King Of The House,” featuring owner Dennis Hof dishing the inside scoop on his XXX personal sex life. The adults-only half-hour show will debut tonight, August 14, at 11 PM exclusively on HBO, and be repeated several times this month and next.
Directed and produced by Patti Kaplan, the popular series spotlights the fun-loving, hard-working girls at the Bunny Ranch, a bustling hi-energy brothel located 35 miles outside of Reno—and the Bunny Ranch’s owner, Dennis Hof. As always, this newest episode uses hidden cameras to record private conversations, transactions, and sexual activity taking place—but “King Of The House” also focuses on Hof himself, as he shares details on why he loves his job of over 20 years—he bought the brothel in 1993—and what it takes to be one of the girls chosen to be his girlfriend.
“There’s lots of benefits in being me,” said Hof in this edition of the sex-soaked series, filmed a dozen years after HBO’s cameras first visited the legal, licensed bawdy-house.
“I like me the way I am,” Hof added, having agreed to sit down with Dr. Ava Cadell on-camera to discuss his innermost feelings, and explore his intimate past. He eventually admits that the discipline he learned at home helped make him the sensitive, if Alpha, male, he is today. “You can’t change the spots on a leopard, except I happen to be a lion, and lions like lots of sex!”
Hof estimates that he's slept with thousands of beautiful women, ranging from famous porn stars and magazine cover-girls, to legendary courtesans and just-off-the-bus college students. And while he hasn’t kept track of the exact number, he does say, “I remember them all, and I loved them all—each one was, and is, special!”
