Red Light District director/performer Toni Ribas told AVN.com Thursday that he has a prominent role in the upcoming mainstream feature film The Pool 2.
Ribas plays a doctor in the action/thriller from Mediafilm Cinema, a company based in Italy that shot the film in the United States and Italy. Ribas, a native of Barcelona, Spain, who speaks fluent English, acted with Melissa Rene Martin (Blow) and Erinn Carter (CSI, The West Wing).
The original movie, The Pool, which is similar to the U.S. box office hit Scream, was a smashing success in Italy, prompting the sequel. It was shot in English and dubbed into Italian. A few Hollywood stars that have also recently acted in Mediafilm productions include Colin Farrell, Johnny Depp and John Malkovich.
Meanwhile, Ribas visited Porn Valley this week for the first time since August 2003. The 29-year-old star so far has released five videos through his exclusive deal with Red Light: First Class Euro Sluts 1 & 2, Lusty Legs 1 & 2 and New Girls. He told AVN.com Thursday he would also begin shooting the 110% Natural series for Red Light again soon.
Ribas, whose production company is called Hot Frames, said he does not like to limit himself with one style.
"I just like sex to happen and it depends on the girl. I like to be open about what I shoot," Ribas told AVN.com.
He and his real-life wife, performer Sophie Evans, have worked together on all the Red Light projects. Evans enjoys shooting the behind-the-scenes footage for Ribas' productions that are usually captured in Budapest, Prague or France.
"It takes one month to put together a movie," Ribas said, adding that he sometimes must take two planes flights just to get to the location. "… I really enjoy it. I'm so lucky to have Sophie. We've been married six years now. We're so good together."
The 29-year-old Ribas did his first adult film when he was 18 and has become a well-known star in Europe. His deal with Red Light entails six movies a year that he owns, but Red Light distributes. However, he will shoot 110% Natural, starting with No. 7, just for Red Light.
One of the highlights of Ribas' recent work is Cindy Lords' first double vag in Lusty Legs 2.
