TLA Releasing has acquired the North American theatrical and home entertainment distribution rights to Tan Lines, an Australian non-XXX film about a surfer who falls in love with his best friend.
The film will be given its world premiere at the 2006 Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in July. It will be released in early 2007.
“We’re always on the lookout for something unique and special in gay cinema,” said Richard Wolff, TLA's director of acquisitions. “Tan Lines is an entertaining glimpse into surfer/ skater culture with a decidedly queer spin, and the heady mix of the sunny Australian coastline, appealing leads and a sweet yet turbulent glimpse into teenage life makes this film truly special.”
