After months of schedule juggling, the 2005 AVN Awards show is now set for Saturday, January 8, 2005, once again at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
The show will be the culmination of a week of adult industry activities in Las Vegas, beginning with the 2005 InterNext Las Vegas show, this year to be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Jan. 4-6, followed immediately by the Adult Entertainment Expo, once again at the Sands Convention Center on Jan. 6-9.
Entertainment at the awards show is still in the planning stages. Previous shows have featured top-line mainstream comedians, musical acts and even circus performers.
"We're excited about the 2005 AVN awards and the phones have been ringing with ticket requests for a month already," said Paul Fishbein, president of AVN. " Right now we're working on two big-name hosts, one from within the industry and one from the mainstream. And we're on the verge of signing two major musical acts. We hope to be able to announce all of the talent soon."
Tickets include a buffet dinner in addition to a night among XXX’s luminaries. Individual tickets cost $250, and a table of 10 seats goes for $2,250. It’s always best to book early for the best tables, and previous shows have been complete sell-outs by the second day of the Expo.
Tickets may be purchased with a credit card online at www.avnawards.com, or by phone at 818-718-5788 ext. 117. Also, special show packages, which include a three-night stay at the Venetian, a ticket to the AVN Award show and VIP admission to the Expo are available from the show’s official travel agency, Rose Tours, at (800) 666-0696 or e-mail jeannie@rosetours,com.
