LOS ANGELES—Ivy Ireland reveals her most recent overseas adventure was one she’ll never forget.
In what she describes as a “challenging” vacation in late April in all the best ways, Ireland tells AVN she explored the “Golden Triangle” in India, visiting Delhi, Jaipur and Agra along with her significant other, Vince Karter.
They visited temples, did food tours and discovered hidden gems away from the tourist spots.
“We tried to integrate and understand the culture as much as we could,” Ireland says. “It was the best trip of my life. Honestly, it was the most eye-opening. We met the most amazing people and the food was incredible. And also just to have a partner that equally enjoys experiences like that, it's just a win.”
That kind of forward momentum is familiar territory for Ireland, who continues stacking W’s on and off set with two-hundred something scenes and counting since her debut in the fall of 2023.
As she enters her third summer in porn’s big leagues, the 2026 AVN Awards nominee for Best New Starlet and Best Actress - Featurette has emerged as one of the industry’s surest bets—a star whose performances have become must-see TV.
An astute observer of the business who enjoyed watching porn years before she started doing it, Ireland embraced the process from the beginning—the lights, the cameras, the anal sex—everything.
“It's just so exciting for me and so it kind of just clicked,” Ireland says.
Now Ivy finds comfort in knowing the best is yet to come, excited for the next phase of her journey—whatever that may look like.
“I feel like I just now stepped into a place in my career where I really feel validated and I can continue to progress,” Ireland tells AVN. “Like my stamp is there. I think I've made a good name for myself.
“There's so many aspects to it. As far as what my my goals are, though, at the end of the day working for companies is amazing but I also really want to build something for myself.”
It’s why the native of Mobile, Alabama—who grew up in Orlando, Florida—is putting in the work to learn the technical side of adult filmmaking and it’s become a passion.
Recently, she teamed up with her boyfriend of two-plus years, Karter, a seasoned director who is the two-time, reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year, in several areas of his productions.
“And so I’m stepping into this new role with Vince, where I'm kind of creative directing. I also am second camera for him a lot of the time for like the Team Skeet scenes that he directs,” Ivy says. “So learning the back-end is really important for me as well. That way I can build something more for whenever shooting isn't going to be in my agenda. I’m trying to grow in every aspect that I can.”
One of the busiest men in adult, the French super-stud Karter produces and directs just as much as he performs—he also has directing deals in place with Evil Angel, PornWorld, and HerLimit.
“Regarding Ivy, we started collaborating on my new movies a few weeks ago,” Karter tells AVN. “Through several photoshoots that she organized herself, she quickly proved to me that she has an exceptional talent for artistic direction. After seeing her creativity and attention to detail, I encouraged her to become more involved in my projects, and we are now working together on my two latest movies.”
Vince continues, “For the first movie, Back to Dark, Ivy managed the makeup direction, styling of the performers, and the overall visual identity of the promotional photography. The cast includes Summer Vixen, Aviana Violet; Ravyn Alexa’s DP scene is with Milan Ponevic and me, while Ivy Ireland’s DP scene is with Jimmy Budd and I. The film has a dark, red-themed atmosphere, and Ivy’s creativity is visible throughout the entire project. The final result exceeded my expectations.”
Karter says he and Ireland also are close to finishing their second movie together, Miami Vice Vixens.
“This project brings a strong Miami Vice-inspired aesthetic and features Brenna Sparks, Khloe Kapri, Luna Luxxe, Lucy Lotus, Ivy Ireland, and Mannie Coco,” Vince explains. “Once again, Ivy has been deeply involved in shaping the visual identity of the movie, from styling choices to the overall creative direction.
“What Ivy brings to these productions goes far beyond being an outstanding performer. Her artistic vision, creativity, and ability to elevate every visual aspect of a project have significantly raised the level of my productions. She has become an invaluable creative partner, and I genuinely believe these two films represent some of the strongest work I’ve produced.”
Karter adds, “We are extremely proud of the results so far and excited to present both Back to Dark and Miami Vice Vixens for consideration at the next AVN Awards.”
Ireland, who has a degree in business and excelled as a financial analyst for eight years in Florida prior to porn, recalls how she already had a following from posting workout photos on social media before launching her OnlyFans page in 2022.
When she first opened her OF, she was still doing her office job—but she was bored with it.
So she took action in the fourth quarter of 2023, flying to Arizona to do her first two studio scenes for ExploitedCollegeGirls.
“And funnily enough, my first scene ended up being an anal scene because my other two scenes got canceled because the people were sick,” Ivy says. “And I had never done an anal, never tried anal before, but I was just like committed to the bit and excited.
“And I worked with some really great people, so I was comfortable. And I feel like if you watch that first video of me, you kind of just see a light bulb go on.”
Did it ever.
“It wasn't until, I think it was February or March [in 2024], whenever I really committed to the bit,” Ivy continues. “Because I started it in slow season—in October, November, December things are kind of slow.
“When you do your first scenes, they take a while to come out and you don't really know how it's gonna pan out. And then I got some pickup and I was like, OK, not only do I love it, but I'm getting some traction, which felt really good. And so I felt comfortable leaving my job.”
About a year into her professional career, Ireland relocated from Orlando to L.A. and soon joined her current agency OC Modeling, where she is thriving.
“I love OC so much. They're really a great fit for me,” Ivy says. “They work with me, it’s really collaborative. I’m really happy with them.”
OC Modeling owner Sandra McCarthy tells AVN, “Over the last few years Ivy has risen to the top quite quickly… She’s demonstrated remarkable growth and she has planted her feet hard on the ground. You see and feel just how much she wants this. I’m so proud of her.”
Ireland describes her style as “an anal enthusiast who has an equal balance of love of having sex and performing.”
“And learning my partner and learning the technicalities of porn and then finding the creative balance in between all of that. I think when you watch my scenes you'll know right away. It's not fake. It's not forced. I'm there because I want to be.
“I’m really enjoying myself and I think that's why my fans really enjoy watching my scenes.”
She says some of her strongest work has been within the past few months.
“My last one that I absolutely love that is out is my Darkko scene with Damion Dayski [in Anal Size Queens 2], where it was just like an intense only anal. I showed up to set and Darkko let me decide everything I wore. Like all the creative directing there. And I got to pick Dayski and he went crazy.
“It was just a real representation of I’m not like a shy anal performer. I’m here and I’m committed to the bit. And I just loved it. Darkko always makes me look my best. I love him so much.”
The feeling is mutual, says the AVN Hall of Fame shooter Darkko.
Not only did Jonni direct her in a straight-to-the-A scene with Dayski, he also performed with her in POV Anal Sluts 3 and Load Sharing 4, along with Hollywood Cash.
“I absolutely love her,” Darkko tells AVN. “She’s a great performer and funny as fuck. Whenever we’re hanging out or working it’s fun. I can’t say enough great things about her.”
In addition to shooting exclusive photos of Ireland in downtown L.A. for her AVN feature, he also captured Ivy in a recent double anal scene for a yet-to-be-titled movie he’s working on.
“There’s only about 2 percent of the porn population that can handle it,” Darkko says. “And she just killed it. She brings so much presence to what she does. It just pours out of her. It’s not contrived, not fabricated.”
Ireland also points to a memorable DP with Karter and Jimmy Bud that released in June.
“And that one was really intense. I creative directed it also,” Ivy says. “Plus, Jimmy Bud is an amazing performer. I get a little crazy, so it's really fun. … Anything with Vince, it's always going to bring out an extra level of slut.
“And the one that I just did was with Mason for Hard X. That one was with Zac Wild, who is also another great performer that I love to work with. And I absolutely love collaborating with Mason.
“She's going to tell you exactly what she needs. But I absolutely love working with people like that because if you tell me exactly what you want, I’m gonna absolutely deliver and try to deliver more.”
Indeed the fellow AVN Hall of Fame director Mason has shot Ireland multiple times for Hard X, including the upcoming outing with Wild—who won the AVN Award for Best Anal Sex Scene for the past two straight years—that will be released on July 4.
“Whenever I have shot Ivy, it never seems like a performance,” Mason tells AVN. “It feels real and authentic. You feel it in your bones. She is a very passionate person on and off set, and she brings that passion to the sex she has allowed me to capture. There's a hunger and desire that is real. She’s all in, and it's inspiring.”
It may come as no surprise that Ireland shines in acting, too, and relishes the opportunity to play a character.
“Both are completely different mindsets. Both are really fun,” Ivy says. “I do a lot of gonzo for like [Evil Angel] and things like that. But then I have a lot of work with Bellesa. They hire me a lot. And I work with Jacky St. James a lot and she writes the most amazing scripts.
“It's really fun just to be in a completely different mindset. It’s challenging. And it's also really fun to be able to watch myself back in a different way than if you watch yourself in a gonzo scene. … I’m still learning as far as the acting. It’s a whole new world for me to learn, so it's exciting.”
St. James tells AVN that Ireland is world class.
“I have said many times that I believe Ivy will one day be the Performer of the Year,” Jacky says. “She possesses what I consider the porn triple threat—acting ability, sexual voraciousness, and professionalism (not to mention she is painfully gorgeous).
“She is what every director dreams of working with. Whenever she is on our sets I can breathe a sigh of relief that my day will be that much easier. She is one of my personal favorites on and off screen.”
