The Mike Albo Y2k Countdown

As the end of the 1900's approaches, the question is, what will come first, Y2K or Mike Albo's check from IEG. We've been monitoring the progress of Albo's attempt to extract a payment for Internet services rendered from IEG for over two weeks. Albo had been told by IEG's Jimmy Kim that the proverbial check was in the proverbial mail and has been since this past summer.

Albo: "He [Kim] handed me off to a person named Jay Calendar who's supposed to be their financial wiz kid now. I have Mr. Calendar on tape telling me last week that checks would be sent out and he was not the kind of guy that would be telling me something was going to happen if it was not going to happen. He said we [Albo and Aaron Lee] would have our checks by Monday. He told me this last Wednesday. On Thursday I was at Vivid and had put in a call to Mr. Calendar. Howard Levine at Vivid also spoke to Mr. Calendar, and Mr. Calendar said the checks were going out that day. They were being overnighted. Today [Monday] no checks. I've been trying to call Mr. Calendar all day. Gee, can't get a hold of him. For being a big high up in the company, guess ehat, he doesn't have voice mail. Pay up. It ain't that fuckin' hard. I was hoping that when Jimmy Kim passed the baton to this guy, they would start dealing straight, but apparently it is beyond their ability."
