The Empire Launches a New Product Search

Adult DVD Empire has launched a new search engine that aims to help surfers find exactly what they’re looking for faster.

The Empire said in announcing the launch that the new technology brings back both higher quantity and more relevance in the results than the predecessor engine, not just by letting you query movie and other titles but looking at every piece of relevant data available for each title.

"Every retail site has some type of product search, but it is our duty as an industry leader to strive for the most powerful technologies to aid our customers in finding the products they are looking for," Empire director of adult operations Mike Barry said in the company announcement.

"Our new search gives the customer more options when searching for a movie that fits their tastes," he continued. "Not every consumer specifically knows what they are looking for. However, they may know a theme or performer they like, and our new search returns a list of relevant products for almost any search phrase."

The new engine purports to return matching titles and suggestions of relevant categories and even performers for a user to look into, telling the user other places to find titles they might like and showing them more of the websites' structure, the Empire said.

"The goal is pretty simple—help people find what they are looking for," said Empire marketing director J.T. Smith. "In the online world, there are no sales reps to help customers find what they need. A powerful search can act as a sales rep, directing shoppers to the products they are looking for without wasting time wading through thousands of titles."
