INT. COFFEE SHOP - BEVERLY HILLS - EVENING
BUSTLING with locals, trust fund babies wasting time, agents' assistants fetching coffee, and hopeful screenwriters banging on laptops.
Seated at a small table in the corner is the beautiful JENNIFER KORBIN, her curvaceous figure concealed beneath a collegiate sweatshirt and low-slung tights. From under a hat, her lustrous auburn hair falls to her shoulders. The dazzling model/actress exhibits a casual manner and playful smile. Though seemingly demure, her sex appeal is palpable.
Across from her sits TRIPP DANIELS. The urbane scribe looks dangerously handsome in his khaki shorts, t-shirt, and flip-flops, as he unhurriedly stirs a non-fat latte.
With a wry grin, Tripp moves his chair closer to Jennifer. A David Gray tune PLAYS in the b.g.
You're originally from Dallas. When did you move to L.A.?
I came out here in February of 2000.
Was Dallas a nice place to grow up?
You don't really have a perspective on it until you leave, so I appreciate it a lot more now. It was a good place to grow up because it was metropolitan enough that you had exposure to the arts, good food and... everybody wears cowboy hats and tight jeans.

I bet you look good in a cowboy hat.
I love cowboy hats. I didn't like men who wore cowboy hats until I moved to California. Now I love them. And I like to wear them.
You went to an all-female college. What was that like?
I liked it. I get distracted easily, so it was better for my education to go to an all-female school, that way at least when I was in class I was concentrating. I really get into debates and I really get into what I study.
Did you find there was less pressure?
There was less social pressure, but more academic pressure. So it kept me focused.
You were on the cover of V-Twin Magazine. What's a V-Twin?
Good question. It has something to do with motorcycles.
I understand you filmed an episode of Elimidate? How did that go?
It was really tame. The guys were there for the same reason that I was: They wanted to be on TV. Playboy set me up with it, so, coming from that perspective, because I was on there as a Playboy model, I had to play it really safe so that I wouldn't screw up any commercial opportunities I have in the future.

Do you kiss on the first date?
I seem to be... fifty percent of the time. Usually it's just a peck on the lips.
Who would you love to have a romantic evening with?
Kiefer Sutherland. He's incredibly talented, he seems to have just the coolest sense of humor and really dry wit... and he's cute.

(laughing) I'm thinking about the song. Let's see... wash my dishes, paint my house, wash my dog... take me shopping.
How would you describe your personality?
I've been called a spitfire. I definitely have a lot of fire in me. By the same token, what you get is what you see. I try to be nice and I try to be fair. And I try to be fair to the point sometimes where I sacrifice myself and that's... I go from zero to sixty when I get pissed off. I can be pushed so far and then I need to defend myself. But I'm a dreamer... I'm always thinking, constantly, very loyal... deep thinker.
What drives you?
Justice, all about balance... People being fair to one another. Fairness is a really hard thing to come by. I've always worked a lot with abused women and kids and animals, usually because those people can't stand up for themselves a lot of times... and I've been through the ringer and back, so it incites me to stand up for people's rights.

Do you have a nickname?
I have a couple. The nickname I grew up with my family, they called me "The Kid." Of the ones that are not bad words, "Pork Chop."
What's this I hear about your own comic book?
I'm putting together a full-fledged comic book that I'm going to sell at the Glamourcon shows and on my Website, and then we'll take individual strips based on that story and put them up monthly or bi-weekly on the site.
How long has JenniferKorbin.com been around?
The members' section kicked off June of last year. It's been slow going. I went through a lot of hardships with some nasty people that like to call themselves Webmasters. I had a couple of stalkers. I had one guy that was a complete fraud that stole money from his partner and deleted all these models' Yahoo! groups and Websites, just a total fraud. But I did finally find a wonderful guy that helped me clean it up and get back on track.
What, besides fraudulent Webmasters, makes you mad?
Frustration. Being pushed so hard against the wall and not being able to do or say anything about it for political or certain situations.
What's your favorite curse word? All of a sudden I'm James Lipton.
(laughs) I probably use the F-word quite a bit.

Describe the underwear you have on.
I'm not wearing any. But I usually wear thongs.
Jennifer laughs. Tripp nonchalantly turns his head and bites his lip in ecstasy.
Do you ever surf the 'Net in the nude?
I do everything naked. I clean my house naked, I talk on the phone naked, I watch TV naked, I'm always on the computer naked... I just don't wear clothes when I'm at home. You have to iron them, you have to wash them.
What's in your purse right now?
Jennifer grabs her purse and empties its contents onto the table.
Cell phone... wallet... keys... pen... lip gloss... and that's it.
You're a big supporter of animal rights. What's your take on fur?
I think there's a balance. The Indians wore fur for a reason, but when it becomes a fashion statement, we overuse it.

If you had to be an animal, which one would you choose?
An eagle. It's a big, powerful, well-respected, and protected bird.
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
My height. Or lack of.
What is your vision of perfect happiness?
To live on a large piece of property out of the city, with tons of animals. Maybe run a rescue or shelter of some kind... and write.
What is your greatest fear?
Abandonment.
What would your autobiography be called?
I actually came up with a title for that: Rearview Mirror. I started writing an autobiography at 13. I had enough at 13, but it gets better.

You're in amazing shape. Do you work out, like, religiously?
No. I was a competitive gymnast all my life, so I learned healthy habits growing up and my father was a major health nut in regards to eating. I think diet is more important than exercise. I'm just not disciplined enough and my schedule is constantly changing. The other thing is, if I'm lifting weights... I have major muscle memory, so I build muscle fast. So, I have to do things like aerobics and yoga and dance. I love dance.
What really turns you on?
I like people who have opinions, very strong people, but there's that and then you cross the line over to controlling, there's a gray area there that I really like. They just have a presence about them that you feel safe, so when you get to the bedroom... I'm in such control of my life during the day that I like someone to... dominate.
What's your favorite movie sex scene?
9 1/2 Weeks. Any of 'em.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Shoes and my dog. Probably my dog first. But I love shoes. I'll drop five hundred dollars on a pair of shows without thinking twice.
What's your dog's name?
Major Tom.
Is that because you're a big David Bowie fan?
His full name is actually Major Thomas Rose. He was named Major Thomas after the Peter Schilling song "Major Tom."
Wow, a Peter Schilling reference. Who would have thought it? Anyway, where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully, on that ranch with a bunch of animals and having a family. I'm going back to school, if not this fall, then next spring. I'll at least finish my Masters Degree here and then change careers.
I've truly enjoyed our time together.
