Teri Weigel, the first Playboy Playmate to become a porn star, has released Tropical Tales, which is her first independently produced video.
Weigel and her husband and business partner Murrill Maglio are distributing the video on their own. Tropical Tales is reality style, naughty vacation footage of Weigel's trip to St. Martins. It is also the last one in which she had blonde hair.
"So far the response has been positive," Weigel, who recently hosted the Fans of X-rated Entertainment Awards and the Porn Star Ball in Sacramento, told AVN.com. "… This is my company. It's me. It's always been me through my whole career. What you see is me."
Maglio said that he and Weigel shopped the title to various companies, but could not secure outside distribution.
"They pushed us into doing our own company and I think it's going to be good because we're doing it ourselves," he said.
Weigel's career in the spotlight includes a wildly successful feature dancing career, five years as the Frederick's of Hollywood girl and modeling assignments for Adidas, Diadora and Bolle sunglasses along with Pam Anderson. She also acted in five episodes of Married with Children (as Al Bundy's fantasy girl) and appeared in Predator 2, among numerous other mainstream credits.
Weigel (www.totallyteri.com) trademarked her name four years ago and started her corporation, Pyro Inc., a year later. She and Maglio have been together for 20 years, making them perhaps the longest running porn couple in adult.
