CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Teravision has set a March 6 street date for director Axel Braun's Afrodiziac, the company's first movie to feature an all-black female cast.
Afrodiziac stars Marie Luv, Stacy Adams, Jayden Simone, Angel Eyes and Vanessa Monet, opposite male talent Mikey Butders, Jay Lassiter, Jack Lawrence, Marcos Leon and Scott Lyons.
"People might have this misconception that Teravision/Vivid puts out vanilla porn ... I can assure you that while the production value is top-notch, the sex is still as hardcore as it gets," Braun told AVN.
Braun said that working with the women of Afrodiziac was a treat because "black women have that sass, that attitude, and yet they can be unbelievably passionate. After the huge success of China Blue, which exploited the exotic sensuality of Asian girls, I asked Tera if I could apply the same classy/hardcore formula to an all-black girls movie."
Tera Patrick was equally enthusiastic about the project. "When I screened the raw footage for Afrodiziac, I was seriously blown away at how hot it was, and that's before Axel even started editing it," she said.
Braun boasted that "the editing is pretty amazing. We run color correction on a DaVinci machine. Looks pretty slick.
"Working with Tera is a delight," he added. "She is really 100 percent involved in every aspect of the production, and her input is incredibly valuable."
