Teravision has parted ways with Nikki Benz and Lucy Lee, ending their respective three-year contracts with the production company.
"Lucy Lee was released from her contract about five months ago, in January, after the show," Teravision CEO Evan Seinfeld confirmed, adding that Lee did not fit into the company's efforts to have its girls cross over to mainstream.
Lee, a Korean starlet that is a native of Torrance, Calif., performed in over 350 sex scenes before landing at Teravision.
Benz confirmed Thursday that she was no longer with the company, saying that her attorney received a notice from Teravision.
"I've admired Tera and I was very honored to be one of their first contract girls, and to be part of their company when it really exploded," Benz said. "It’s really big now and I’m honored to have been there when it was growing so fast at such a fast pace. I respect Tera and I always will."
In a joint statement, Seinfeld and Teravision president Tera Patrick said, "It was a mutual agreement with us and Nikki and we wish Nikki all the best. Nikki is a big star who sells lots of movies, but we're currently turning all our energy onto Tera with her huge mainstream explosion going on, and Tera is working on a new movie called The Corruption of Yasmin Taylor which will be shot in late June."
Before her contract signing, Benz was under contract with Jill Kelly Productions and Pleasure Productions. She had only performed in about 30 adult films in three years when she signed with Teravision, which recently had a sales hit with Benz's Test Drive.
Benz and Lee both agreed to simultaneous three-year deals in September of 2005 in which they would headline their own productions as well as perform in others starring Patrick.
The Australian beauty Taylor is still exclusively contracted to Teravision.
