The Erotic Networks (TEN) has announced its sponsorship of the gallery exhibition of Timothy Greenfield-Sanders' XXX 30 Porn-Star Portraits at Berman/Turner Projects in the Bergamot Station Arts Center from April 2 to April 30.
The exhibit has previously been displayed at the Mary Boone Gallery in New York and the John Berggruen gallery in San Francisco.
Berman/Turner Projects represents a merger by long-time gallerists William Turner and Robert Berman. Berman and Turner have been leading dealers of contemporary art in Los Angeles for several years.
XXX 30 Porn Star Portraits features photographic works initially presented last year in a best-selling photo book of the same title. The book includes essays on the intersection of pornography and culture by a wide range of distinguished writers and celebrities such as Gore Vidal, John Malkovich, John Waters, A.M. Homes, and Salman Rushdie.
Greenfield-Sanders' portraits juxtapose images of the stars fully clothed with ones in the same pose, but nude.
"TEN is proud to bring this wonderful exhibit to LA. These photographs are a sign of the growing recognition of adult entertainment as another piece of the mosaic of popular culture," said Ken Boenish, president of TEN.
Greenfield-Sanders has achieved critical acclaim photographing cultural figures including world leaders, presidents, writers, artist, actors and musicians.
TEN has established itself as a leader in the electronic distribution of adult entertainment.
