Taylor Wane has loved vampires as long as she can remember, so needless to say, she's thrilled to finally be one.
Not a real one of course – but a new X-rated comic book from H Bomb Comics casts Wane as the Vamptrix, a lusty vampire that simply "sucks blood and fucks," according to Wane.
"I have an equal thirst for blood and sex. I have slaves that are in my castle that are there just to service me sexually. I get into different adventures when I go forth to drink blood. I never kill my slaves though – they're just for sex," Wane said.
The concept of the quarterly comic book, limited to 2000 copies, was conceived by Wane herself, who wanted a comic to promote at comic book conventions. "I like going to all sorts of conventions, including comic book ones – but there doesn't seem to a point at being at one if you are just going to sign 8 x 11's," Wane told AVN.com "So I decided to make my own."
Wane had previously had a comic book about her life published, but wasn't very excited about that comic. "Part of the attraction of having your own comic is that you can have superpowers and such," Wane said. And the superpowers she wanted happened to involve vampirism.
"There's something erotic about them. Like in Interview with a Vampire – they always look good and they live forever. They never seem like they're never in a rush either – they just chill until its time to go kick ass and party," Wane said, explaining her fascination with vampires.
"The not aging part really rocks as well," said Wane, who slips into character for a moment and claims to be 467 years old – though she feels she doesn't look a day over 401.
Wane has flirted with being a vampire in the past – a box cover that featured her was used as the model for a Vampirella collector card, and she was this close to being cast as a vampire by Francis Ford Coppola.
"Unfortunately on my way to the audition I was hit, head on,by a car running a red light. Talk about the curse of the vampire," Wane joked.
Illustrated and drawn by Tim Taylor, Vamptrix is a quarterly comic that is available of most comic book stores and TaylorWane.com.
Wane will be at the Las Vegas Comic Con in October to sign copies of Vamptrix.
