Falcon Studios announced its promotion plans today for Cross Country, the studio's major production of 2005. The two-part movie, scheduled for release on September 21, was directed by Falcon Head of Production Chris Steele and filmed entirely on location in New Zealand. The 23-man cast is headed by Falcon exclusives Roman Heart, Erik Rhodes, Dean Monroe, and Falcon Lifetime Exclusive Matthew Rush.
According to Troy Prickett, Falcon Promotions and Events Manager, at the top of the list of promotion tools is "a one-of-a-kind sweepstakes where one lucky winner will win a trip for two to New Zealand, a seven-night stay at the Orongo Bay Homestead (where much of Cross Country was filmed), and one thousand dollars spending money."
Fans can enter the sweepstakes now by visiting the official website, CrossCountrytheMovie.com.
In addition to the travel sweepstakes, Cross Country's release will be supported by extensive coverage in leading gay adult magazines, Unzipped, Men, [2],and Freshmen.
Prickett said the October issues of all four magazines will contain a full-size movie poster and brochure. As well as the inserts and two-page ad spreads in each publication, the October cover of Unzipped will feature Falcon exclusive Ethan Kage, who makes his debut in the movie, the cover of [2] will feature Erik Rhodes and Matthew Rush, and the cover of Freshmen will feature Benjamin Bradley. All layouts were photographed in New Zealand.
Additionally, GAYVN Magazine is running a Sneak Peek of Cross Country in the September issue with Erik Rhodes gracing the cover. The November Adam Gay Video XXX Showcase will feature Brad Patton as its Cross Country coverman.
Stars of Cross Countrywill also be featured on two upcoming episodes of Sirius Radio’s The Derek & Romaine Show, Prickett said. On September 14, Matthew Rush and Ethan Kage will talk about their experiences in New Zealand, and on October 5 Erik Rhodes and Chris Steele will discuss everything from Erik’s bungee jumping experience to Chris' challenges of directing 23 porn stars in a foreign country.
Fans will be able to interact with the movie's stars at upcoming live events. Exclusives Roman Heart, Erik Rhodes, Matthew Rush, Tyler Marks, and Derrick Vinyard will be making appearances at the Falcon-sponsored Gay.com "Come Together” Tour Across America kick-off party at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco on September 9. Thursday, September 22, will see Roman Heart, Benjamin Bradley, Derrick Vinyard, and Chris Steele as featured guests at Jason Sechrest’s “Cocktails With The Stars” at Micky’s nightclub in West Hollywood, Calif.
On the home front, Prickett announced that on September 21 FalconStudios.com will air a special Cross Country-themed episode of its live sex show, FalconTV, starring Roman Heart and Benjamin Bradley.
And NakedSword.com will be exclusively streaming each scene of Cross Country 1 on a pay-per-view basis for one week starting September 22.
