The Supreme Court refused Monday to consider a constitutional challenge to restrictions on adult clubs in suburban Cincinnati, according to a published report.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that justices had been asked to review a divided opinion by the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld rules requiring strips clubs in Union Township, Ohio to close no later than midnight.
Union Township also required clubs to apply for operating licenses and provide information about employees, including their birth dates and job description, the story said.
Déjà Vu, a chain of adult cabarets, sued, claiming these township regulations were an unconstitutional infringement on free speech, the newspaper reported.
