Sunset Thomas recently sang "Happy Birthday," ala Marilyn Monroe, to heavyweight contender Samuel Peter at the Golden Phoenix Casino.
The City of Reno, Nevada celebrated Peter's decision to make "The Biggest Little City in the World" his training base for his HBO bout against Wladimir Klitschko on Sept. 24 in Atlantic City, N.J., by proclaiming September 6, "Sam Peter" Day.
Peter is the unbeaten UNABF, USBA and NABA heavyweight champion, while Klitschko is a former world heavyweight champion.
Thomas surprised the crowded room that was packed with media and fans by joining Peter at the dias and performing her sultry singing salute.
"How can you not love Peter?" Thomas remarked.
