To her long list of professional accomplishments, Summer Haze can now add toy manufacturer.
The popular performer assumed sole ownership of The Haze XXXperience glass toy company on April 15, taking over the previously titled Glass Pleasures. That company had inked Haze to an exclusive contract as a designer and endorser, bringing out a signature series of toys beginning in February of this year. Haze has frequently used her products in stage shows. She will continue to design and create her own toys for the new company.
“I felt like people were taking advantage of using my name. I was creating the toys, and they were running with the ideas and giving me no credit at all,” Haze told AVN.com. “I felt I needed to make arrangements to purchase the glass manufacturing company and get all the credit!”
Haze said her status as a performer has been helpful in generating orders for the company, and that while the extra work has been stressful, there is “nothing like the popularity and feeling of accomplishment in owning your own business.”
In addition to featuring its owner's products, The Haze XXXperience also declared its intention to entice other entertainers to its roster by offering full creative ownership rights to any works bearing a performer's name. The toy company will also produce a DVD series, five to fifteen volumes in size, and is currently seeking "feature entertainers and amateur porn starlets" for that purpose.
The new company is the centerpiece of a very busy 2004 for Summer Haze. The entertainer recently purchased two greyhounds racing dogs with the intention of running them competitively by year's end. She also announced a slew of 2004 publicity appearances for herself and her company: September 1-2 at Las Vegas Mandalay Bay, September 11-12 at the LA Convention
Center, September 21-22 at the Baltimore Convention Center for the East Coast Video Show. Haze will also attend the AVN Expo at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas January 6-9, 2005, in addition to her busy club schedule.
