Strip Clubs Gear Up for Baseball’s All-Star Game

Strip club owners all over the city are gearing up for the flood of fans to tonight’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

With the game expected to generate about $52.3 million to the city by some estimates, strip clubs like the Club Royale are bringing in extra dancers from Florida for the excess crowds likely to jam the club this week, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

The club’s manager, who went by the name of Jim, told the newspaper that the visitors to the game are going to spend more freely than local customers since they are often single and want to have a good time while in town.

Albert Bortz, who has owned Blush, downtown Pittsburgh’s oldest and last strip club for the last 36 years, said sporting events have always driven spikes in club attendance and revenues. He explained that when the Pittsburgh Steelers play, it helps bump up revenue on Saturday night since visitors like enjoy a night out ahead of Sunday’s game.

Blush has added an extra feature dancer in model Brandy Lynn Banks as well as booked extra dancers that normally work on weekends.

Club Royale is also cutting entrance fees by half, printed baseball-themed admission tickets as well as added more dancers and hired cab drivers to transport tourists to the club.
