Stoya to Release Essay Anthology 'Philosophy, Pussycats & Porn'

NEW YORK—Multi-hyphenate adult veteran Stoya collects many of her writings from the last decade-plus into an anthology releasing June 25 from publishing house Not a Cult.

Stoya announced the book, Philospohy, Pussycats & Porn, via her Twitter feed Friday, desribing it as a "series of essays and stories on sex work, sexuality and how they're reflected in society."

The Not a Cult website, where the book is available now for pre-order, elaborates: "Stoya provides crucial examinations of systemic biases toward sex workers and how sexuality is reflected in society. Stoya often points her journalistic lens inward, providing us with personal, illustriously detailed stories of her life, her collaborators, and how she has built a flourishing media haven in the face of a culture that is still learning how to handle public discourses on sex work."

Stoya has previously had work published by The New York TimesThe GuardianPlayboy and more, as well as appeared in two New York plays by Dean Haspiel, and the Serbian sci-fi film Ederlezi Rising, which is currently playing in the Promising Debuts Competition at the Let's Cee Film Festival in Vienna, Austria.
