Since revamping LustCinema.com in the fall of 2020, European director Erika Lust has continued to showcase American directors—in particular, female directors who are interested in telling out-of-the-box stories. Among this month’s offerings is Wanted, a movie from director Nica Noelle.
On set for the Lust Cinema feature, Noelle says the story “just sort of came to me … suddenly I just got a vision of a woman who’s home alone and there’s somebody she knows who’s on the run from the police.”
Vera King plays a divorcee who becomes entangled with her ex-husband’s son, played by Seth Gamble. Both King and Gamble are on set for a number of dialogue scenes.
Noelle first encountered King on Twitter. “She’s got a lot going on upstairs. She emailed me to let me know that she wanted to be a part of things that were more artistic and involve more acting. … So I thought she might be right for this role.”
Gamble plays a man in his 20s, and King is “probably around 30, so it’s not the usual MILF/teen dynamic,” Noelle says. Gamble is one of her favorites. “As an actor and as a sex performer, he always nailed it.”
Today will mostly be dialogue scenes featuring King and Gamble inside the house. “All the conversations that take place within this little bubble. … They’re really stuck—in life and in the house. … They’re both at this impasse in their lives where they feel lost. … The story evolves through them talking to each other.”
Noelle directs a scene where King is talking on the phone, then moves to the bedroom for a scene with King and Gamble. She focuses on their body language as the crew clusters just outside the bedroom door. “Seth, you’re going back between sweet guy and scary guy,” she says, and expresses satisfaction over the results. But there’s still a long day ahead for both performers, and it will culminate with a sex scene.

Tomorrow, Noelle and her crew will be off to another location to shoot a segment featuring Marcus London, who plays King’s boyfriend. But in this scene he’s cheating on her with Demi Sutra. This side plot is designed to show why King’s character “would be so vulnerable to turn to somebody she shouldn’t actually be getting involved with.” That vulnerability, she says, makes people do things they wouldn’t normally do. “Suddenly, boundaries that you always felt were firmly in place are lifted. I’ve had those moments in my life.”
Both Wanted and Noelle’s first project for LustCinema, a series titled The Widow, are available on LustCinema.com.
