The site, www.sexquotes.com, was recently purchased by Internet Entertainment Group, a leading adult Website operator based in Seattle and best known for its online distribution of a honeymoon sex video with Pamela Anderson Lee and Tommy Lee. \n Starting Friday (Sept. 4), Internet users will be able to go to SexQuotes and check current market prices for the major exchanges, OTC stock prices and fund information. Users can make their own customized portfolio to monitor investments. Plus, there's a choice of images (from PG all the way to hard core) and a way to specify hair color and ethnic preferences. \n The service is free of charge, supported entirely by advertising on the Website. \n "The www.sexquotes.com site was created to bring together the two most sought after commodities on the Web: stock quotes and adult entertainment," said Seth Warshavsky, president and chief executive of IEG. He said users get valuable financial information at no cost and "that little extra reward for investing wisely or consolation during the kinds of disappointing days the market has been having lately." \n Although it may sound like a surefire idea, the mix of stocks and sex may not be as potent as many believe. One stock analyst noted that much of the surfing for financial information is done in offices where company policies may preclude visiting sites with nudity. Another analyst thought the combination of sex and stock may not be much of a lure to the serious investor, particularly if the investor is a woman. \n Advertising sold for SexQuotes is to be targeted to users based on demographic profiles they will be asked to fill out. Local clubs can target people who live in the same city and national companies can reach broader demographics. All information about users is to remain confidential, however, and no names need to be provided. \n IEG is not the first to combine the business of sex with the business of business. Playboy Enterprises offers stock quotes on its Web site. At WallStreetSex.com, market tickers, sports tickers and market news are mixed with sexually oriented chat rooms and a trading pit store that features lingerie and adult toys.
