Stern May Be Under FCC Attack Again

FMQB, a radio trade outlet, reports that the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) is investigating a February 4 broadcast of The Howard Stern Show, during which porn stars competed in a contest called “The Stupid Bowl” involving comedic use of strap-on dildos and four-inch sausages.

The investigation comes as the result of a complaint filed by Florida-based decency crusader Jack Thompson, which calls for the FCC to go after “each and every radio station that aired any of the particular Stern programs on the dates which are currently under investigation.”

If the investigation leads to a Notice of Apparent Liability, it could mean the end of Howard Stern over the airwaves until he starts up on Sirius Satellite Radio.
