Spring Break In August: The Guy Game Arrives

The Guy Game – touted for featuring over 60 attractive college women in 20 episodes including stunts, interviews, and challenges – is coming in August for PlayStation2 and Xbox players.

Hosted by comic Matt Sadler, The Guy Game (rated M)is hooked around the usual spring break insanity, shot live on location during spring break on South Padre Island and challenging players to "match wits with over sixty attractive co-eds, all of whom are set on showing off their best 'assets'," as game producers describe it.

"I feel innovation is incredibly important in the video game industry," said Jeff Spangenberg, chief executive of Topheavy Studios, which is publishing the game. "With The Guy Game we set out to do something completely different than what had been done before. "We feel that guys will be extremely pleased with the final result."

Other game features will include smackdowns with up to four players, with the top scorer becoming president and making the rules; over one thousand popular trivia questions from film, television, sports, and more categories, a choice from among eight attractive women to be a player's personal cheerleader, and a chance to determine "who has the biggest Ballz in high-speed action minigame," like Ballz Out, Ballz In, and Ballz Shotz. Not to mention the famed Hottie Challenge, publishers said.

Spangenberg founded Topheavy in November 2002 and carries over eighteen years' creative experience in entertainment software. He had previously founded Iguana Entertainment, known best for the home-console and handheld versions of NBA Jam, before he sold the company to Acclaim Entertainment, where he was president of worldwide product development. From there he created Retro Studios, creators of Metroid Prime, before selling that operation to Nintendo in 2002.
