Spice TV to Feature Fly Spice Special

Spice TV and its video-on-demand services are scheduled to air a half-hour special this month, going behind the scenes of the Spice Studios big-budget release Fly Spice: The Virgin Flight, which is hitting the streets today.

The show, scheduled to air at various times throughout the month on Spice TV, features producer and director Bud Lee who hosts the program, leading viewers into the cavernous soundstage that subbed for the movie’s airport and aircraft sets.

“It’s a studio that’s been used a lot of big Hollywood movies, so it was perfect for us to use,” said Lee, who co-directs the feature with Jim Malibu.

The movie tells the story of a new airline that features hot flight attendants played by Sophia, Avy Scott, Syren and Brittney Manson who somehow manage to lose their inhibitions as the plane flies to its destination.

“I play a really horny stewardess who gets to do some of the passengers and even the pilot,” Sophia said.

Having done a slew of gonzo videos, Sophia was at first surprised by the slow pace of a scripted feature.

“I didn’t realize that you had to wait for guys to fix the lighting and move things around, so I ended up waiting around a lot, but I didn’t mind. I had a great time with everyone. All the girls were really nice,” she said.

Having worked for nearly a week on the set, gave Sophia a notion of how disciplined performers must get.

“It gave me taste of being on the set every day was like and it felt like I was going to work. I was getting used to it,” she said.

“Now when I go to the airport, I start thinking, ‘Wow what if I hooked up with someone on the plane?’ It’s funny,” she said with a laugh.

Meanwhile, Spice Studios is preparing Fly Avy, featuring Avy Scott, for release on June 15, followed by Fly Nautica, featuring Nautica Thorn, set for late July; and Fly Sophia, set for September.

The series will be capped with the Oct. 12 release of Fly Spice: Pacific Rim, featuring Nyomi Marcella and Mikayla, along with a slew of Asian performers.
