CYBERSPACE—In the decade since SpankChain was established, the adult content platform has stayed its course in supporting the crypto and adult industries.
“In recent years, the climate was such that the team decided to go all in on activism, focusing its efforts on getting the right legislation passed through numerous trips to D.C. As the world heads into 2026, the current landscape continues to reinforce that decision, and SpankChain is not backing down,” a SpankChain spokesperson said.
To complement its advocacy efforts, SpankChain is debuting a new digital zine and uncensored content archive called SpankBytes. The SpankBytes team had the rare opportunity to interview and photograph industry legend Nina Hartley, featuring the renowned, trailblazing adult star and activist as SpankMate of the Month.
As SpankChain looks toward the future, the company remains committed to advocacy efforts as well as to creating content designed to inform and protect community interests.
“In response to recent censorship initiatives that threaten to scrub adult content from the internet, SpankChain is collaborating with industry leaders to collect legacy knowledge and archive critical data to ensure it remains accessible,” the spokesperson said, adding, "The company is also thrilled to announce that 2026 will welcome the first SpankStar Awards, which were conceived to celebrate exceptional members of the adult community.”
In a recent interview between Allie Knox, SpankChain’s chief of Strategic Communications & Advocacy, and First Amendment attorney Lawrence Walters of the Walters Law Group, Walters explained, “I think the most important thing that the adult community and the adult entertainment industry can do right now is to support the groups that are in a position to lobby and can affect policy change—and to talk to researchers and politicians and journalists to get the information out to stop bad laws in their tracks, repeal bad laws that have already been passed, and challenge laws that have not been interpreted by the courts yet."
