The Porn Belt of Chatsworth just got another resident. Sean Michaels has relocated his SMP International from Van Nuys to the Platinum X Pictures facilities at 21018 Osborne St., Suite 5. He’ll be fully up and running there by the end of this month. It’s part of his new distribution deal with PXP, announced in October.
“Same building, different office space,” Michaels told AVN.com. He noted that as of January 1 all calls to SMP will go through the Platinum X switchboard.
Michaels will release one title a month from Platinum and one every other month from SMP. The warehouse will hold all of the 88 titles he brought with him when he hooked up with PXP for exclusive distribution.
Michaels’ first release through Platinum will be Asslickers 4, next month, followed by The Black and the Blonde 3 in February. In March he’ll ship Rocks That Ass 23: The Return of Sean Bond, and in April the first volume of a new series, Sean Michaels’ Hottest Latinas.
“I feel so good over there already,” Michaels said, “because of my relationship with Dion [Giarusso, PXP consultant] from Elegant Angel days.”
