CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Smash Pictures has another hit on its hands with Secretary's Day 2, directed by Kevin Moore.
Secretary's Day 2 manages to surpass the award-winning original thanks to a top-notch cast, a killer box cover featuring Jenna Haze and the fetishistic eye of director Moore. The movie is already drawing rave reviews and has shot to #2 on the charts at Gamelink.com.
“I think it’s the best thing I’ve personally shot, " Moore told AVN. "It’s a long movie, over three hours. There’s a lot going on in all the scenes, and I think the performers themselves really shined."
Moore expertly cast the movie with some of the hottest girls in the business, including Haze, Rebeca Linares, Rachel Starr, Tori Black, Jenny Hendrix and Dakoda Brookes.
"I was looking for the A-list," Moore said. "Jenna Haze is, if not the best, then one of the best in the business. I think Rachel Starr could be destined to be just as big as any of the girls. Another girl who is pretty new is Dakoda Brookes who works with Mark Wood. She has an incredible butt and totally has the right attitude the entire movie."
As with previous Smash releases, the DVD offers the viewer options to watch Secretary's Day 2 with or without the setups.
"There is a little story," Moore explained. "I play the boss of these different temp secretaries, and it’s me dealing with all their shenanigans. I like a little psychology in there to create a reason why people are fucking around. I like there to be a reason. Or you can watch it like a wall-to-wall movie by changing a setting on the DVD, and take out the story.”
Moore has directed over 30 movies since launching his directorial career five years ago. His work for Smash includes Clothes Freaks, Mother Lode and forthcoming installments of Killer Grip and Down Your Throat. He also directs for Hustler, Pulse Pictures, Doghouse Digital, Hellhouse Media and Evil Angel, working closely with John Leslie and Joey Silvera on their productions.
Among the standout scenes in Secretary's Day 2 are Haze's scene with Moore and Johnny Sins, in which the boss catches her screwing on the job and demands a blowjob. A threesome with Linares, Hendrix and porn icon Tom Byron features a terrific catfight sequence as a prelude to the scorching sex.
"That was my first chance to shoot Tommy on my own," said Moore. "You don’t have to direct Tommy, you just kick back. He knows way more than me. Joey [Silvera] and John [Leslie] taught me about not about over-directing. It’s like shooting a documentary, shooting like, nature, you just sit back. If you over-direct it ruins the chemistry. It’s just about finding that great shot and holding it and letting the guy at home just get off to it.”
According to Jeff Dillon of Gamelink.com, Secretary's Day 2 has proven to be a hot item. The popular site began offering the movie on VOD in advance of its DVD release and pre-orders immediately took off.
"We offer it as a pre-release on DVD and exclusive VOD on it because of how popular Secretary's Day was," Dillon told AVN. "Gamelink is unique in that way; it really boosts the pre-books for DVD sales. We’re already seeing an increase in demand over the first Secretary's Day, so it looks like they’ve got a following.
