CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Smash Pictures is prominently featured in an ad for the FyreTV set-top box appearing in the November issue of Maxim.
"As one of the first companies to be included on the FyreTV box, we were able to stand out in their booth last year during the AVN show," said Smash sales VP Stuart Wall. "When FyreTV approached us with this advertising offer, we brought in Jenna Haze for a special photo shoot."
The color ad shows AVN award-winner Haze (Secretary's Day 2) beckoning readers with the FyreTV remote above a blurb for Smash Pictures.
"We're honored to have landed something like this," Wall told AVN. "It puts us in good company with the major players in the industry, and it's terrific placement for our studio."
Set to debut this fall, the FyreTV box delivers streaming video through a broadband connection. The system allows viewers to search for specific stars, studios, scene types, physical attributes, fetishes, and other criteria.
Selecting a performer will bring up photos and profiles of the stars to help anyone confused about which "Jenna" or "Naomi" they're looking for. The user can filter search results according to preference by programming the box not to show, for example, BBW content.
Among the other studios featured on FyreTV are JM Productions, Wicked Pictures, Evil Angel, Adam & Eve, Teravision, Zero Tolerance, Pink Visual, K-Beech, Mayhem, DVSX and VCX. FyreTV is also developing original content for the box.
Smash Pictures produces a variety of top-selling lines including Cheating Housewives, Whale Tail, Teen Idol, and many more.
