Skylar Neil Golf Tournaments Raise $1 Million for Charity

Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil has presented a $1 million check to the T.J. Martell Foundation, representing the amount of money raised by the Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament in its 10-year history.

This year’s tournament, held on May 5 at the Los Canyons Golf Club in Simi Valley, Calif., raised more than $175,000 to fund research for cancer, leukemia and AIDS. It was established to honor the memory of Neil’s daughter Skylar, who died from cancer at the age of six.

Tony Martell, an executive with Columbia/Sony Music who helped sign Ozzy Osbourne and other top artists, founded the T.J. Martell Foundation in memory of his son who died of leukemia.

Last November, Neil and the T.J. Martell Foundation launched an annual fundraiser, Vince Neil's Off the Strip Poker Tournament, raising nearly $150,000. A second fundraiser is scheduled for November.

Among adult industry companies lending their support to the tournament over the years were Elegant Angel, Seymore Butts Productions, Red Light District, Hustler Hollywood, Pure Play Media and Exotic Dancer Publications among others.
