SK Intertainment Inc., operator of MrSkin.com, today issued a short statement in response to allegations of copyright infringement, violations of the Lanham Act, and unfair competition in a suit filed last week by adult company XPays.
XPays named several prominent adult industry players in the suit accusing the defendants of copyright and trademark infringement of the so-called “Paris Hilton sex tape.” XPays is claiming sole ownership of the heiress’ video.
“SK Intertainment, Inc. has developed an uncompromised reputation for adhering to the strictest ethical standards and business practices,” asserts Derek Meklir, vice-president of marketing for SK Intertainment. “We have reviewed the complaint and find it to be without merit. We intend to defend our position vigorously and are confident that we will prevail.”
ICG Entertainment, parent company of CelebrityCash, affiliate program FlashCash, Adult Profit (and its site FreeCelebrityMovieArchive), and billing company Verotel—which is the processor for CelebsUnzipped and others—were also named in the suit.
