SinCity.com has added a pay-per-minute (PPM) streaming video option to its Video-on-Demand (VoD) service.
The PPM option is in addition to the downloadable DiVX VoD the studio had previously offered on Sin City and Mayhem titles.
“Customers can view scenes from their favorite Sin City and Mayhem titles, without waiting to download, for as little as 8 cents per minute,” says Sin City Internet division director Winn. “You’re not going to find a better deal than that anywhere online, unless it’s stolen.”
Clips stream at 500k and users can switch between scenes at will.
To kick things off Sin City is giving away 20 minutes of free streaming to new users and starting July 1, the first 500 people to sign up for a new account will get a $9.99 VoD title for free.
This signals the latest commitment from the studio to solidify their Internet presence and the company has allocated more resources to further develop their Internet and high definition technology, representatives say.
