Sin City will launch a new advertising campaign at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo on January 8, the beginning of twelve months of saturating print, radio, television, billboard, and Internet markets with the question “What is Sinful?”

“The tagline is the cornerstone of the whole campaign. It will be used on all of our merchandise and all of our ads for the next year,” Tina Tyler, Sin City’s publicist, told AVN.com.
Sin City won’t be relying on just one question to sell their wares. The campaign will include photos and video of the Sin City contract performers, or “contract killers,” as Sin City likes to call them. The current roster of the Sin City Contract Killers is: AVN’s reigning Female Performer of the Year Aurora Snow, Penthouse Pet Hannah Harper and Shay Sweet, all of whom will have a hectic personal appearance schedule over the next year.
The campaign, the brainchild of Sin City creative director Mark Snyder, will be more aggressive that past Sin City campaigns. This time the goal is to advertise in the mainstream, which means that a lot of the ads won’t have any nudity.
“It depends on the market and the publication, but not every ad will have nudity. We can still get our point across by just being sexy,” Tyler said.
This year at AEE, Sin City’s booth will have four screens at their booth, with photos and videos of the Sin City girls projected on to them. The videos will also be used for an online marketing campaign, with an eye towards becoming mainstream television ads.
All of which begs the question: What is sinful?
“I suppose that’s subjective, but we’ve got something for everyone,” Tyler said.
