Simply Irresistible: Inside the Wet & Wild Rise of Dainty Wilder

This is the cover story of the May issue of AVN magazine.

LOS ANGELES—Dainty Wilder wants to wrap up her business trip to L.A. sooner than planned so she can get back to her “babies” in Australia.

The unassuming star takes care of three parrots and two Australian Shepherds when she’s not making spicy content.

She tells me her birds—Candy, Charlie and Opal—require extra attention because they’re so intelligent.

“And I think a lot of people don’t realize that,” Wilder says. “It’s kind of just like having tiny little toddlers around, they’re so mischievous. They like to throw things off tables. They like to annoy—but I love them. They’re just cheeky, you know?”

The former interior designer from Sydney is enjoying her last afternoon off before embarking on 14 collabs in the next seven days with several of her close friends and peers.

“Two collabs a day, every day,” Dainty says with a grin. “Pray for me.”

Now in her eighth year in adult, Wilder enters the summer of 2026 as one of the industry’s most versatile creators with a global following that appreciates her effortless brand of amateur and lifestyle content.

“I kind of unintentionally lined up way too many things for a short amount of time,” Dainty admits. “The problem was I reached out to the people I want to work with, thinking that like maybe half of them could say yes because they’ll be in town, but everyone said yes. And I don’t like bailing on anyone, so I’m going to do them all.

“There’s some girls that I’m working with that I’ve worked with before that I just love working with—they’re also like fan favorites.

“So it’ll be good to reconnect with those girls and a few new girls as well.”

Wearing a brown zip-up hoodie, a matching denim mini-skirt and khaki boots, Dainty orders a vegan lunch on the Westside of L.A. as we discuss her exotic pets, her passion for art, her industry roots and her for penchant for squirting, among other random topics.

According to Wilder, her 22-year-old Eclectus parrot, Candy, can say the name Charlie, who is one of her two Indian Ringneck parrots.

“And she calls my name in my mom’s voice because she remembers how my mom used to call me,” Wilder says. “And then mostly they kind of just talk their own little gibberish language that kind of sounds like English but not really.”

Opal is not only the youngest of her birds, “she’s the craziest one as well.”

“I adopted her, she’s insane,” Dainty says. “They have their own room, so I made one of my bedrooms just a parrot room, and they all have their sleeping cages in there, but when I’m at home they just like free roam my house.”

Born and raised in Australia’s oldest and largest city, Wilder makes at least two trips to Southern California every year but she cherishes being at home.

“I mean there’s so many people to work with here, so many opportunities that you just don’t get in Australia, but I do like going back to Australia just to retreat and have like a normal, quiet life with my pets,” she says. “That’s what makes me happy.”

Dainty embraced art from a young age, excelling at drawing realism—such as human faces and animals. The talented pencil artist considered attending art school but switched gears upon realizing she didn’t want to be an art teacher.

Instead for three years she studied interior design and architecture in college with a focus on residential.

“And while I was studying, I got an internship, and a week into my internship, they hired me,” says Wilder, who specialized in 3D rendering.

“So it was fun. I liked it but I think I get an itch to change things, like maybe every two years. And that’s when I decided to do camming.

“I just felt like I had a calling that was outside of working in my little interior design firm. So for one reason or another I decided to try camming.”

Wilder, whose real-life nickname has been Dainty for as long as she can remember, tells AVN she already followed a lot of cam girls on social media.

“It was always very intriguing to me,” she continues. “I had always been curious.

“So I guess me wanting to leave my old job was sort of the push for me to try it. And so I was working my old job four days a week and on the fifth day I would cam for like four hours.”

It took only a few weeks for Dainty to realize she was earning more on that one day on MyFreeCams than she was for the whole week at her other job.

“So I tested it out for I think it was only three weeks before I was like OK, I feel like it wasn’t a fluke. I feel like I could keep this up,” Dainty tells AVN. “So I quit my old job to do camming full time. And I think because I made the decision to quit a respectable job—that I could talk to my family about—to do this, I was like, OK, I’m going to treat this like a full-time job.”

Wilder went all in on MFC in September 2018, going live six hours a day, five days a week for about two years. Then in the midst of the COVID shutdown in 2020, she started posting on OnlyFans.

“The switch between camming and OnlyFans was quite easy because I was already in the online sex work industry,” Dainty explains. “I had a lot of fans that would ask me for my OnlyFans and I was kind of hesitant at first because I’m like, I like camming, this is my thing.

“But naturally I did create an OnlyFans because that’s what they wanted and then I think I just ended up burning myself out a little bit with camming so much and for so long every day that I was like OK, I want to try something new.

“I want to see if I can make my OnlyFans take off if I put the same amount of energy as I put into camming. And I did that and it took off because a lot of the fans just naturally came along to that platform with me.”

Wilder soon flew to Melbourne for her first two content collabs after networking with a couple fellow models on Instagram.

“And then very soon after, I just planned a trip to L.A.,” she says, adding that her first collabs in the epicenter of adult were in January 2022. “I don’t know how I managed to swing this, but on my first trip to L.A., I collabed with Angela White, Lena the Plug and Sky Bri. Those were my three collabs.

“I think my mentality was there’s only so much I can do in Australia in terms of collabing with people. I just didn’t know that many other OnlyFans girls there.

“But I was like making it in Australia is one thing, but coming to L.A. and trying to make it here, I feel like it kind of solidifies you in the industry a little bit more. I just wanted the opportunity to work with big stars. Because I had that opportunity, I went with it.

“I think since then I’ve just been doing my little trips to L.A. basically doing the same thing every year. And that’s kind of how I built my brand.”

Wilder has received nominations for Fan-Voted AVN Awards for Favorite Independent Female Creator and Favorite All-Girl Collab for the past three years running.

“It means a lot because I always think of myself as just a little creator in Australia,” Dainty says. “Even though I know I am a part of the industry, I don’t see that in my everyday kind of life. So having that recognition, it’s quite special. It’s kind of like a shock every time.”

With more than 1.8 million followers on her @dainty Instagram and another 737.8K on X, not to mention a growing audience on platforms such as YouTube, Wilder’s fanbase is only expanding.

“I don’t often think of myself in that way as being as established as I am,” Dainty says. “But when I do come to L.A. and I’m going to events or social gatherings and people say, ‘I’m a fan of your work,’ that kind of solidifies it a little bit for me.

“I’m like, oh OK, people know who I am and they like my work. That’s cool. I didn’t realize that. But yeah, I guess when I do think about it, it’s kind of crazy.”

Wilder continues, “Just because so much of what I’ve done in the industry has been—like a lot of it has been in my own bedroom.”

Fellow Sydney native Angela White, the Hall of Famer and three-time AVN Female Performer of the Year, knows Wilder’s talents as well as anyone.

“We first collabed around three years ago, and we’ve shot together multiple times for OnlyFans since,” White tells AVN.

“Dainty is warm, grounded, and an absolute pleasure to be around. Creatively, she’s a strong performer with a clear brand, and I feel she’s building everything in a smart, consistent way. Dainty is doing things properly and has a fantastic fanbase as a result.”

Dainty tells me that Angela is “so easy to get along with.”

“She’s so chill. I love her so much,” Wilder says. “When she comes to Australia, we often hang out as well. I feel like also the first time I came to L.A. and I worked with her, she kind of unknowingly taught me a lot about how things run in the industry. It was just good to get a sense of like, OK, this is the standard. I’m gonna go with this.”

Speaking of standard bearers, fellow AVN Hall of Fame star Riley Reid has been working closely with Wilder for years; they re-connected during this trip when Riley hosted a content house for several influential creators.

“It’s always really inspiring to see women who take control of their brand while maintaining boundaries,” says the entrepreneurial Reid, who was the 2016 AVN Female Performer of the Year. “She goes at her own pace and does what she wants. I think it’s really cool to see her confidence grow.”

Reid says Wilder has an amazing sense of humor, too.

“I love that about her,” Riley adds. “She’s so beautiful and looks so pristine but she doesn’t take herself too seriously.”

That much is evident in some of Wilder’s engaging content. On her YouTube channel “Dainty Wilder ASMR”—which has more than 62,400 subscribers—she shares content such as feeding her parrot Candy a slice of apple while she’s perched on her shoulder.

Wilder calls her producing style “amateur, but shot really nicely”—with lots of input from her fans. She discovered she could squirt many years ago during an early hook-up with an ex, long before she began her rapid rise in adult.

“I had no idea what squirting was at the time,” Dainty recalls. “I was like, what the hell just happened?

“Ever since then, it kind of has just happened every time.”

Now whether she streams live or does content, it’s not a matter of if, it’s only a matter of when.

“I think I’m known as just a very big squirter,” she jokes. “That’s my thing. Expect a lot of squirting.

“Every time I have sex, every time I cam, it’s a blessing and a curse. Because obviously it’s kind of how I’ve established myself in the industry to a degree. But also I have to carry waterproof blankets with me everywhere I go.”

The generational squirter even created a series called “Squirt Wars” that has become some of her best-selling content on OnlyFans.

“I’m really proud of all of the videos within that series and they’re definitely fan favorites as well,” Dainty tells AVN.

She started off the series with Valerica Steele “because she’s probably one of the only other girls I know that can squirt as much as I do.”

“The premise is we just squirt a lot,” Dainty says. “It’s almost competitive, but you know, friendly. I love all of those videos.

“I think they aesthetically look really nice, but also they’re like showing my talents to the full degree.

“Also, every year I do a fan favorite choice awards on my OnlyFans. So I’ll compile what I think are the ones my fans like the most based on sales and whatnot. And then every day they vote on two videos—which one they like more—until they get to the final one.

“If I remember correctly, last year was a threesome with Angela White. The year before was a threesome with Valerica Steele.

“I think I kind of like threesomes.”
