Two new deals have taken Shooting Star video into the classic porn market. Exodus Archives, a federally funded film archive that contains hours upon hours antique pornographic film footage dating back to 1890, and Alpha Blue, a specialty vintage adult video mail-order company, have agreed to let Shooting Star transfer their films to DVD and distribute them.

Authentic Antique Erotica 1-5, the series that Shooting Star is releasing based on footage from the Exodus Archives, streets May 1. "There's a lot of stuff I had to cut out. They had a dog with a girl, a lot of piss scenes, a lot of fisting - I had to take that out. But the stuff I left in is still really hot. It appeared to be even hotter because of the times. This was really forbidden back then -this is WAY before the sexual revolution," Mickey Blank, owner of Shooting Star, told AVN.com.
According to Blank, none of this footage has been released on DVD or VHS before. Given the of the age of the films, the quality of the films vary from good to mediocre, though Blank used the original source material to provide the best quality transfers possible.
Exodus Archives are also providing footage for another series that Shooting Star will release called Double Feature Footage, primarily 35 mm films from the Sixties and Seventies. "In those days they actually made a movie," notes Blank. "The sex is real hot. These were made during the sexual revolution. There are no fake tits; everyone has bush, no tattoos, and no piercings. What you get is the real thing."
Make Mine Milk and Cumming West are among the titles that will be released under the Double Feature Footage line. According to blank, most of the these films were shot in New York and San Francisco, with some familiar faces using different porn names than the names the became famous with.
Blank reports having thousands of films from this era, all of which were released theatrically, but 95% of which was never released on VHS or DVD. The first ones will be coming out at the end of May or June.
The Alpha Blue line will be DVD releases are primarily big breast films such as Little Oral Annie, Big Bust Babes, Candy's Big Tit Wrestling, featuring stars of the era among who are Candy Samples, Seka, Kay Parker, and Anna Ventura.
