SAN FRANCISCO—Shine Louise Houston, founder and director of Pink and White Productions, has returned to helm her most iconic and long-running project, CrashPadSeries.com.
Now entering its third decade, “the series continues its award-winning work documenting lesbian and queer sexuality through real-life couples and performers sharing candid intimacy with its global LGBTQ-plus audience,” a studio representative said.
Houston's return comes with a creative shift for the series. “Blending gonzo aesthetics with POV parody, the site's new episodes introduce a rather mischievous plot device, ‘The Camera,’ which is voiced by Houston herself,” the rep described. “Acting as both observer and participant, The Camera delivers witty, film geek commentary and occasionally joins the action, creating playful, self-aware sex scenes that break the fourth wall in surprising and hilarious ways.”
The result is a fresh take on studio porn and LGBTQ+ representation through a cinéma vérité approach exemplifying Houston’s signature cinematic style ("silly and sexy at the same time"), by capturing the chemistry and spontaneity of laughter and playful energy between scene partners.
The new season launches with a mix of returning performers and newcomers. Bay Area BDSM performers Barbary Rose and Ruby Riots lead the premiere episode. Upcoming scenes feature CrashPad star Zuri Love with new performer and “hairy” adult creator Magnoliaa Blossom. Members can also look forward to “gushing scenes” with real-life couple Seven and Luz, as well as QT nightlife stars Piss E Sissy and Euphemia.
