They’re not big rock singers and their fingers aren’t the first body part that comes to mind and their pictures aren’t on the cover of Rolling Stone – but unlike Dr. Hook who rose to national fame singing about that dream, Shane’s World Studios at least have photos inside the famed music magizine and they are even referred to on the cover of Rolling Stone – a close second for the college-orientated boutique porn studio.
The right hand corner of the cover of the September 18 issue that hit news stands today reads: College Porn Nightmare Students Seduced Into XXX Movies.
That’s a bit more sensationalistic than the four-page article titled “The New Sex Ed” actually reads, which while not a glowing endorsement of college students participating in adult videos, still shows Calli Cox and crew teaching college kids how to party Porn Valley style.
The article is based on a trip a writer and photographer took with Shane’s World Studios during the taping of College Invasion #1 in January.
“They loved the story when I pitched it to them, and we were just as excited to have them along for the party!” Calli Cox, publicist for Shane’s World, who was also still a performer in January. “The best part of this is that this is exactly our target market.”
The story includes interviews with people who participated in the video including one young man who was looking forward to seeing himself in a porn. “I’m buying it the first day. I’m going to show it to everyone. I really hope the titty contest is in there just so I can say I was in a porn. Just good times. Memories,” said Trevor.
We also hear from past college students that were involved in Shane’s World Studios productions, one of whom was dismayed that his parents would no longer pay his tuition after he achieved some infamy for showering with porn stars.
Shane’s World has even more mainstream press lined up for the release of College Invasion 2 in mid-September. Shane’s World Studios titles are distributed by New Sensations.
