As production company Sex Z Pictures launches its new, revamped website, it has also made its entire catalogue available as iPod and PSP downloads.
Bo Kenney, Sex Z Pictures owner, told AVN.com that “when I got my kids iPods about a year ago, I thought they were just a passing gizmo. Then, a few of my friends showed me that they were able to store 8,000 songs on one little device, and I got a little more curious.
“A little while later, we noticed that that they were showing our release, Desperate Wives, available on iPods and the picture was very clear, so that started to spark my interest a little more. We went on the web, researched them a little bit, and did a little development, and they were ready to go with all of our movies, a little before Christmas, 2005.”
In addition to DVD release, all of the Sex Z Pictures’ releases will now be available as iPod and PSP downloads. Kenny explained that in the case of downloading videos, as is the case in downloading music, iTunes is the program you’ll be using, so, as Kenney puts it “you won’t need to learn anything new if you’re familiar with the program.”
Another advantage that Kenney pointed out was the quick accessibility of portable devices. “You need time to print and press DVDs, but right after a movie is done editing, you’ll be able to download it on your iPod or PSP, about three months before the DVD comes out…and that’s great in this day and age of instant gratification.”
“This industry has always been about masturbation to us,” Kenney concludes, “and I never thought you’d be able to replace the magazine for masturbation and privacy. But now, with little, portable devices like the iPod and the PSP, the magazine might have a run for its money.”
“We’re very excited about this.”
Sex Z Pictures’ Desperate Wives is now available, alongside all of their other titles, including Sex-Z in the City, Phoenix Unleashed and Lingerie Sluts.
