Sex Worker Visions II Exhibit Features Vena Virago Art

NEW YORK - Vivid-Alt director and visual artist Vena Virago will present and discuss a selection of her artwork as part of the Sex Worker Visions II exhibit at Arena Studios (407 Broome Street, NYC, Suite 7A ) in New York on Saturday. The free event will start at 2 p.m.

Virago's illustrated talk will be hosted by Audacia Ray, executive editor of Spread Magazine — a quarterly publication for sex workers — and curator of Sex Worker Visions II. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.

"I have given talks in galleries and performance spaces before, but I'm very excited to speak at Arena Studios," Virago told AVN. "I think Audacia has organized a very unique show with SWVII and I'm pleased to have my art exhibited alongside the work of [AVN Hall of Famer] Annie Sprinkle, Zak Smith and Genevive Zacconi."

Sex Workers Visions II is co-sponsored by the SoHo Arts Council and runs through July 28.

Virago's latest movie for Vivid-Alt is Eastside Story. The movie looks to take viewers into the heart of East L.A., by having an eclectic group of adult performers tell their personal tales on camera and then have sex as part of a series of art installations, handcrafted by Virago.

Eastside Story stars Dana DeArmond, Michelle Aston, Page Morgan, Lexi Bardot, Roxy DeVille, Rebeca Linares, Tyler Knight, Alex Gonz and Dino Bravo.
