Dr. Michael Perry's resume looks like it was Frankensteined together from three different lives: Studied for the Catholic priesthood. Sex therapist. Erotic filmmaker. \n "Even Catholic priests [who are required to be celibate] are asked about sex. I found I was totally unprepared for people's agonized questions," says Perry. "I left the seminary, got into psychology and discovered I could get into sex therapy." \n Perry's company, Access International Media, offers a number of videos with a common message: "Anybody can have a better sex life." \n "I love the power of video," Perry explains. "Everyone wants to know more about sex, and video provides a great way to enrich people's sex lives." \n The most recent release from AIM is Every Couple Can... which Perry describes as "truly erotic and educational." Introduced by Perry, it starts with a e-twentysomething couple with sex problems, and details the man's therapy with a sex surrogate. The performers are actors working from a script, so the situations are more universal than couple-specific. When the man with a premature-ejaculation problem is led through a weeks-long treatment program with the surrogate, the exercises are shown in (non-explicit) detail. \n The second half of the tape deals with an older couple ó 50ish ó who take a do-it-yourself approach to improving their sex life, guided by the good doctor in voice-over. Throughout Every Couple Can..., sex and sexuality are dealt with with a minimum of euphemism, and although there is no hardcore content, there are softcore scenes of the sex therapy. \n Reviews of the 6-tape Intimacy Getaway series, of which Every Couple Can... is a part, are on page TBA. \n For more information, contact Access International Media at (800) 772-0708.
