SegPay’s Big Transaction: ASACP Sponsorship

SegPay is the newest corporate sponsor of the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection.

SegPay provides e-commerce payment solutions for webmasters. In June, SegPay launched its new Zephyr processing platform, which utilizes the latest Microsoft .NET technology. This allows SegPay to respond quickly to webmaster requirements, and enables pay pages to load in less than a second, the company said.

SegPay Compliance Officer Nick Toth explained the company’s decision to align itself with ASACP: “SegPay was founded on the basic principles of security and safeguarding the webmasters who select us as their processor. Our goal is always to operate at the highest possible level of compliance with these principles. To meet that goal, we partner with vendors and organizations that have complimentary business philosophies. ASACP is a positive representation of our industry, and most importantly, ASACP works to protect our children worldwide.”

ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine agreed that the two organizations are of like minds.

“ASACP sponsorship means stepping up and contributing to the industry’s child-protection efforts, and that’s what SegPay is doing,” she said. “They know it’s not just about making a buck—or processing a buck. SegPay is demonstrating their commitment to kids and to the future of the industry.”

Founded in 1996, ASACP is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP battles child pornography through its CP reporting hotline and by organizing the efforts of the online adult industry.
