Although the Los Angeles event has been the crown jewel of the Webmaster Access series of online industry shows, the second time around in Europe quickly is proving that the newest addition to the group is becoming a highlight, not only for Webmaster Access, but of the show year.
With approximately 400 attendees, a great venue, and a great city, this event, now in its second year, has become a highlight of the crowded show year.
While it was dismissed by many last year as an excuse for a bunch of Americans to go to Amsterdam, the ’06 event seems to have brought together a solid mix of European and American players.
The networking-focused event also is a hell of a lot of fun.
Things officially got underway on Friday evening with a mixer at the host hotel, the Barbizon Palace. The highlight of the evening was the much-hyped Sinners Party, sponsored by Virtual XS, SapphicCash, and Payserve, at Club Sinners.
The third-floor VIP area was a bit hot, to say the least, but no one seemed to mind because of the free-flowing drinks and the free, uh… working girls.
Five of Amsterdam’s finest were raffled off during the party.
These kinds of things just don’t happen in the states, my friends.
