The second Mobile Adult Content Congress, which focuses on the responsible delivery of adult content to mobile devices, has been scheduled for Oct. 10-12 in Reno, Nev.
“The MACC show in Miami was successful far beyond our expectations,” says Dan Garza of Black Marlin Multimedia Group Inc., the show’s organizer. “Over 100 top-level professionals from around the world were in attendance. It was really something.”
Apparently the media thought the same. The Miami event was covered by more than 180 newspapers worldwide, numerous industry publications, CNN, ABC News, Fox, and more.
“We are expecting Reno to be even bigger,” says Larry Lockhart, also of Black Marlin. “People saw this was not a pornographic showplace, but a professional meeting of industry executives from the adult and telecom business sectors to discuss opportunities and how, if they choose, to proceed responsibly.”
A few of the subjects to be covered in Reno include access control and filtering; defining adult content and classification; roles for operators, mobile network virtual operators (MVNOs), and aggregators; successful business models for commerce and distribution; how webmasters can mobilize; regulatory and legal issues and self regulation; current and projected future revenue and pricing; licensing and branding; on-deck versus off-deck delivery; balancing risk and reward, and revenue sharing and billing.
A limited number of exhibition spaces will be available, as there were during the Miami event. Exhibits will be located in the main conference hall.
