KSEX Radio host and freelance publicist, Jason Sechrest, has been cast in multiple episodes of a new series called “Open Call” for The TV Guide Channel.
The first episode of “Open Call” is set to air at 8 p.m. EST/PST on Monday, April 25.
"Because of the nature of the show, I'm not at liberty to divulge too many details about it," Sechrest said, “but I can tell you that it is a reality series about the casting process for reality series! My really big episode is on Monday, April 25, but they have asked me to come back for at least one more episode as well and I believe the second one airs on May 30.”
Last week, People magazine's sister publication In Touch Weekly reported that the Fox network filed a lawsuit against Sechrest for stealing Ryan Seacrest’s name while hosting a gay adult film parody called American Porn Star for Jet Set Productions. But the lawsuit was quickly dropped after discovering that Jason Sechrest was indeed the host's real name.
Sechrest said it was ironic that the “Open Call” show is shooting in the same studio where the now defunct "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" was shot. Sechrest also said he has been cast to appear on an MTV reality series later this summer and recently previewed a cabaret act he's putting together at the King King in Hollywood.
