Come Friday, it will be the 200th weekly broadcast for Script School Radio, in which the adult Webmaster tutorial and support program will feature participants from previous shows and new changes including a new one-hour show and a new Website aimed at the new Webmaster looking to graduate to the mainstream world.
"For years, enrolled students have requested a show and course learning material specifically for mainstream Websites," said Script School "principal" TDavid, announcing the milestone broadcast, "and beginning in August 2004 we'll be launching an entirely new live radio show specifically for mainstream marketing and online Webmaster training."
The new show will launch with a new Website for thirty weeks with the first thirty lessons recorded from live broadcasts. A full, official site launch is set to follow with detailed, step-by-step Flash video tutorials, quizzes, and other Webmaster learning support materials, Script School said.
"Basically, we're going to visually show Webmasters how to build a website step-by-step from scratch using a new site as a real world example," TDavid said. "We'll reveal when and where specifically this is happening during the landmark 200th radio show. And I'll give one hint: this new site will not have a school motif."
As for the existing Script School courses, they're undergoing a review and modification to work within a mainstream marketing framework, in hand with a complete site redesign set to be finished by 2005, TDavid said, adding that the timing is good with many adult Webmasters returning to or accelerating their mainstream focus.
As for the future of the adult Webmaster radio show? "If you asked me in the beginning if we'd someday reach 200 shows I'd probably have doubted it," TDavid said. "I mean, just look at how many other Webmaster-oriented radio shows have come and gone over these last four-plus years, but here we still are – and now we're expanding."
The two hundredth show will air Friday, July 30, at 5 p.m. EDT/2 p.m. PDT.
On Friday, July 30, 2004 at 2 p.m. PST/5 p.m. EST/10 p.m. GMT, "Script School students will benefit from this mainstream-oriented content as there is much crossover marketing appeal to adult Webmasters."
