Scores Holding Company Begins Licensing Program

Scores Holding Company, Inc. is looking to license their name and management experience to at least 25 properties over the next three years in a model similar to that of hotels.

Beyond the Scores brand, which has received national media exposure from various talk shows and CBS radio (one of the two New York clubs that use the brand is a frequent topic of conversation on The Howard Stern Radio Show), licensees will be able to take advantage of a number of programs to that are designed to cut costs and increase profits.

“We’re unique to the industry. There is no one else that licenses their name as we do,” John Neilson, vice president of Scores, told AVN.com “We’re offering a full management concept so that if you need help putting everything together, we’ve assembled the full package. This is how the major hotel management companies run things. When someone needs help with a property, they go in with both their name and support services that enable proprietors to best exploit that name.”

Benefits of licensing will include the rights to sell Scores branded apparel and calendars, the use of trademarked profit systems such as their Diamond Dollars program, accounting methods developed over decades of experience, and proprietary computer systems developed to meet the specific needs of an adult entertainment establishment.

Another serive that Scores will provide is helping find entertainers, management, and all other staff required to run a venue.

Scores will also offer licensees group buying discounts from beer, liquor and cigarette distributors, plus standard industry vendors, from furniture companies to paper goods to sound and lighting equipment.

Technically, licensees will not be dealing with Scores, but with Full House Management, Inc. (FHM), a consortium of adult nightclub veterans that obtained the right to market the Scores brand through the Entertainment Management Services, Inc., (EMS) division of the Scores Holding Company. EMS will then pass revenues earned from this program back to Scores Holding Group, which anticipates earning at least $1 million in additional revenue this year from the venture.

“Basically, instead of selling licenses ourselves, we’ve turned it over to an outside agency that we’ve hired to sell license on our behalf. FHM consists of number of owners and well known operators in our field that know the exact needs that our industry requires,” Neilson said.

One of the principals in FHM, Dennis DeGori, has over 25 years of experience of management experience including a stint as vice president of Club Paradise in Las Vegas before becoming president of Scores Chicago, one of three clubs in America with that already use the Scores brand.

Besides Scores Chicago, there are two other clubs with the Scores Brand. The Scores Holding Group manages the Scores Showroom, the original Scores, and will own and operate Scores West, another Manhattan location that will open in October.

FHM's primary responsibilities under the terms of the Agreement are to identify prospective adult entertainment clubs that would be appropriate to enter into licensing agreements with the Company, visit potential licensees to review their existing operations, personnel and ownership to ensure they meet the criteria that Scores requires of potential licensees.
