BURBANK, CA—Leading transgender erotica company Grooby recently announced that it will be an exhibitor at the upcoming RuPaul’s DragCon to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Described as "the first ever convention that celebrates 'the art of drag, queer culture and self-expression for all'," RuPaul's DragCon will take place May 16-17, and feature several well-known guests including director Chi Chi LaRue, the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (G.L.O.W.), comedians Deven Green and Alec Mapa, as well as several celebrity impersonators—and Courtney Stodden. Besides RuPaul's keynote speech, panels at the convention will include a Roundtable Discussion/Q&A with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (the movie will be screened), "Women Who Love Drag: The Biological Perspective," I Am Divine (the new documentary about her will be screened), "Comedy Queens: How to be She-larious," "How to Be A YouTube Star," and several more.
“We look forward to representing Grooby at DragCon and hanging out in the booths with some of our favorite people,” said Grooby’s Marketing and Editorial Director Kristel Penn. “Our goal is always to reach new communities and people, to share what we do, and what we have to offer. We have some cool photo ops planned, so we encourage people to come by and have some fun with us.”
Scheduled to attend with Grooby is Transformation magazine, Spunk Lube, and TS stars Tasha Jones and Jane Starr. The companies will be sharing two booths and giving away free promo items, signed headshots from Jones and Starr, and inviting guests to take pictures in their staged areas.
Founded in 1996, Grooby has worked hard to become the leading producer of transsexual erotica. It established itself as one of the pioneer online transgender entertainment websites with the launch of ShemaleYum.com, and since then has launched over 30 websites. The company also produces its own DVD line, as well as manages a number of online forums and blogs. For more information, visit Grooby.com.
