Rick’s Cabaret-NYC, the new upscale gentlemen’s club in Midtown Manhattan (50 West 33rd Street), will begin auditioning and interviewing entertainers, waitstaff, cooks and other service staff beginning Aug. 8.
Rick’s Cabaret-NYC will be the newest venue operated by Rick’s Cabaret International [NASDAQ: RICK], a publicly traded company with nightclubs in Houston, Minneapolis, New Orleans and other cities.
Rick’s Cabaret-NYC anticipates engaging up to 200 entertainers at the three-story club, which will have a low-key “sneak peek” launch period beginning Aug. 24 prior to its grand opening on Sept. 21. In addition to cabaret entertainment, Rick’s has a first class restaurant that will serve steak, lobster and other fine meals up to 4 a.m. daily.
Interviews for prospective job seekers are being coordinated by club general manager Ed Anakar ([email protected]) and will be held at the club.
“Rick’s Cabaret-NYC will be the only truly upscale club in Midtown Manhattan, so we have had enormous interest from prospective entertainers, particularly since, unlike other clubs, we pay them in cash daily rather than by check,” Anakar said.
