Report: Vendors in NY Sell Pre-paid Cards to Minors

Pre-paid cards that grant access to X-rated Websites are being sold at newsstands and small grocery stores in New York City, according to a report by the Daily News.

The cards range in cost from $5 to $50 and work similar to pre-paid phone cards. While they are printed with a legal age warning, a Daily News investigation revealed that some merchants are selling them to underage customers.

The Daily News reported that cards hit the city about four months ago after a 33-year-old entrepreneur bought the exclusive U.S. rights from a Canadian company.
