Veteran director Jake Malone is leaving Red Light District after the director and the company agreed to part company.
“Jake is a great director and he had a contract to us for another year, but he wanted to own his own product and we’re not offering that to him at this point so we both decided that it was best that he find a deal somewhere else,” said Red Light owner David Joseph.
Malone, who had been with the company since 2002, could not be reached for comment. Several months ago Malone briefly agreed to leave RLD to direct for Evil Angel, but then abruptly changed his mind and decided to stay with Joseph’s company.
“We want to do business, but you don’t want to hold a guy back, so he’s going out to get a deal that he’s happy with,” Joseph added.
Malone had directed a number of the company’s top gonzo lines including the highly-successful Fuck Dolls, Cum Fart Cocktails, Dirt Pipe Milkshakes and several others.
His latest release, Cumstain Casting Couch, came out in June.
